Former Newcastle United midfielder Lee Clark has been appointed manager of Scottish Premiership side Kilmarnock.
The Wallsend-born 43-year-old, who made 265 appearances for the Magpies over two spells and scored 28 goals, has signed a three-and-a-half-year contract at Rugby Park.
After hanging up his boots, Clark took up coaching roles at St. James' Park as United's first team coach and reserve team manager, before becoming boss of Huddersfield Town, Birmingham City and Blackpool.
And following nine months out of the game, Clark has moved north of the border and will attempt to guide Killie up the table from their current position of tenth, with 27 points from their 26 games to date.
Clark's first game in charge of Kilmarnock will be a Scottish Cup fifth round home tie against Rangers on Tuesday.
