Craig Pawson will referee Newcastle United's trip to Everton in the Barclays Premier League on Wednesday (7.45pm kick-off).
It is the third time the South Yorkshire-based official has taken charge of a Magpies' match this season, having officiated an opening day home draw with Southampton and a stalemate at Manchester United.
On that afternoon at Old Trafford, Pawson booked four players, including Newcastle duo Massadio Haidara and Gabriel Obertan
In total this term, the 36-year-old has overseen 25 matches in the Premier League, Championship, Europa League, FA Cup and Capital One Cup, issuing 75 yellow cards and one red.
Pawson has been a referee since 1993 and progressed through the ranks to become a regular in the Football League, before being promoted to top flight officiating in 2013.
He was in charge of the 2012 League Two play-off final between Crewe and Cheltenham, and also fourth official for the 2014 FA Cup semi-final, as well as last season's FA Cup final and Capital One Cup final.
On Wednesday at Goodison Park, Pawson will be assisted by Dave Bryan and Stuart Burt, with Roger East the game's fourth official.
