Satka Agrees York Loan Switch

Written by Newcastle Utd

Newcastle United defender Lubomir Satka has joined League Two side York City on a one-month youth loan

By Anthony Marshall - Newcastle United Managing Editor

Newcastle United defender Lubomir Satka has joined York City on a one-month youth loan.

The 20-year-old centre-back will remain at Bootham Crescent until Monday, 29th February, joining fellow Magpie Kyle Cameron, who is also on loan at the League Two club.

Satka is the captain of United's under-21 side and a Slovakian under-21 international. He has made one first team appearance for Newcastle, as a substitute in an FA Cup third round tie at Leicester City last season.

Under the terms of the youth loan, Satka will still be able to represent Newcastle's under-21s, and could make his York debut in Saturday's home game against Stevenage.

The Minstermen are currently bottom of League Two, with 17 points from their 26 fixtures to date. They are just three points from safety, however.
