Newcastle defender Lubo Satka is currently at a training camp in Dubai with the Slovakia under-21 national team.

The 20-year-old flew to the Middle East earlier this week and will report back for Club duty towards the end of January.

The camp is part of Slovakia's preparations for their important UEFA Under-21 European Championships qualifying game against Turkey in March.

Slovakia are currently top of Group Eight with three wins from four matches.

On Tuesday, Satka played the whole game at centre-back as Slovakia beat current South Korean champions Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors 2-1.

And on Friday, the Ilava-born youngster played for 65 minutes at right-back against Uzbekistani outfit Lokomotiv Tashkent FK.

Satka is Newcastle's regular captain at under-21 level and has made one appearance for the first team, as a substitute in last year's FA Cup third round loss at Leicester.
