Information for Newcastle United supporters travelling to Watford this weekend for the Premier League fixture
Newcastle United supporters attending Saturday's Barclays Premier League at Watford are advised of the following information regarding ongoing construction works at Vicarage Road:
Stadium entry
There are currently temporary turnstiles in operation at Vicarage Road and as a result, this may cause delays on entering the stadium.
Turnstiles open 90 minutes before kick-off and it is advised to arrive no later than 30 minutes before kick-off to avoid delays.
Newcastle United supporters have been allocated 2,100 tickets, taking up half of the Vicarage Road Stand. Please check the turnstile number on your tickets before arriving at the stadium.
For supporters who attended the FA Cup third round tie earlier this month, the regular turnstiles are numbers 15-20 and are opposite the Red Lion pub.
Visiting fans will not be able to acess Vicarage Road via the turnstile block shared with home supporters for the FA Cup game.
Watford's 'Vicarage Roadies' matchday meet-and-greet-team, who are dressed in bright green jackets, will be stationed along Vicarage Road to direct visiting supporters to the appropriate turnstiles.
Supporter meeting point
The officially designated away pub is The Oddfellows (14 Fearnley Street, WD18 0RD).
Visiting disabled supporter access
Disabled supporters should aim for the Red Lion Corner on the junction of Vicarage Road itself and Oxford Street. For reference, the Red Lion is a disused pub opposite the away turnstiles.
Supporters should then approach Watford's 'Vicarage Roadies' matchday meet and greet team, who are dressed in bright green jackets and will be stationed outside the pub from 1pm onwards on the day.
The 'Roadies' team will then escort supporters to the accessible entrance and on to the away seats.
Supporters using wheelchairs and their personal assistants are advised to arrive no later than 45 minutes before kick-off to avoid any delays, as entry is through another stand and may take some time.
Away section concourse
There will be no alcohol for sale inside the away section on matchday, due to limited concourse space.
Wiggenhall Road closure
Due to the building of a new access road for the hospital next door to the stadium, Wiggenhall Road is currently closed to southbound traffic. As a result, the area is heavily congested.
Visiting supporters are advised to avoid this route and use the multi-storey car parks around the town centre ring road.
