Alex Gilliead and Macaulay Gillesphey helped Carlisle United to set up an Emirates FA Cup fourth round tie against Everton.
The Newcastle pair both featured in Tuesday night's third round replay success at Yeovil.
Jack Compton gave the home side a first-half lead but Anthony Sweeney's late equaliser set up extra time and then penalties.
And, after former Magpies goalkeeper Mark Gillespie saved from Matty Dolan, Mark Ellis scored from the spot to send the Cumbrians through.
Gilliead started, but came off at the interval in a double substitution which also saw Gillephey replace Danny Grainger.
Both Gilliead and Gillesphey will now hope to be involved when Carlisle host Everton on Sunday, 31st January.
