Jack Colback returns to the Newcastle United starting line-up for Tuesday's Barclays Premier League home fixture against Manchester United (7.45pm kick-off).
The midfielder missed the Magpies' FA Cup third round exit at Watford through injury but has recovered to face Louis van Gaal's side at St. James' Park.
Colback replaces Kevin Mbabu and that is the only change from the weekend's fixture at Vicarage Road, although there is expected to be a shift in formation.
Newcastle are likely to return to the 4-2-3-1 formation which served them so well at Arsenal earlier this month.
That means Republic of Ireland international goalkeeper Rob Elliot will be behind a back four of Daryl Janmaat, Chancel Mbemba, captain Fabricio Coloccini and Paul Dummett.
Cheick Tiote will join Colback in anchoring the hosts' midfield, with a trio of Moussa Sissoko, Georginio Wijnaldum and Ayoze Perez ahead of them.
And they will be tasked with supplying the ammunition for Serbian striker Aleksandar Mitrovic, who has three goals to his name this term.
On the substitutes' bench, there is a return for French midfielder Sylvain Marveaux, who last featured for the Magpies' first team in March 2014.
And he is joined by Ivan Toney, Siem de Jong, Yoan Gouffran, Jamaal Lascelles, Jamie Sterry and Karl Darlow.
