Sylvain Marveaux will feature for Newcastle's under-21 side at Blackburn Rovers on Monday (kick-off 7pm).

The French midfielder, 29, is included as an over-age player for the trip to Leigh Sports Village.

Marveaux, who has yet to make a Barclays Premier League appearance this season, last played for United's second-string against Swansea in September.

He is one of four players with senior experience in Peter Beardsley's squad; Kevin Mbabu, Lubo Satka and Callum Roberts are the others.

Jamie Sterry, who was an unused substitute for the first team against Liverpool on Sunday, is likely to feature too, while Freddie Woodman is set to start in goal.

Supporters can gain free entry to the match here.
