Free Poster With Saturday's Retro Programme

Written by Newcastle Utd

Ayoze Perez, Paul Stephenson and Fabricio Coloccini all feature in Saturday's programme

By Anthony Marshall - Newcastle United Managing Editor

The Newcastle United matchday programme has gone retro for the 2015/16 campaign, and the tenth issue will be on sale for Saturday's Barclays Premier League fixture against Leicester City (3pm kick-off).

Each week, a previous issue from the 1960s, 70s, 80s or 90s will be given a modern twist, with this weekend's award-winning publication taking its inspiration from April 1968 and a Football League Division One clash between United and the Foxes.

The original cover features a football and a banner on an iconic black and white striped background, and so Saturday's 100-page issue is an exact replica.

There is also a free A2 double-sided poster with each sold copy of the programme, which features Ayoze Perez on one side, and a show of solidarity following last week's attacks on Paris on the other.

Inside, we speak exclusively to Spanish starlet Perez about his recent form and partnership with Serbian striker Aleksandar Mitrovic.

Paul Dummett dishes the dressing room dirt in Teammates, while we also hear from ex-Magpie Paul Stephenson, captain Fabricio Coloccini and head coach Steve McClaren.

That is a just a snippet of what is inside this week's issue, with an extensive look at Saturday's opponents Leicester and four pages of quizzes and puzzles for our younger fans also included.

The official matchday programme will be available to purchase around St. James' Park and in the club store at the stadium on Saturday, priced at just £3 for 100 pages.

For supporters who are unable to make it to Tyneside for matchday, a digital version of the programme is available to download on all platforms, featuring everything included in the physical publication.

It can be purchased on a one-off basis for £2.99 per edition, or if you chose to subscribe for the whole season then there is a huge 40 per cent saving to be made, with a 12 month subscription costing just £34.99.
