International Call-Ups For Teenage Trio

Freddie Woodman, Adam Armstrong and Michael Newberry have been called up by their countries at under-19 level

Newcastle pair Freddie Woodman and Adam Armstrong have been named in the 21-man England under-19s squad to face Holland and Japan later this month.

The Young Lions meet up at St. George's Park early next week before flying out to face the Dutch on Thursday, 12th November at the Juliano Sportpark.

After that, they will take on Japan at Manchester City's Academy Stadium on Sunday, 15th November.

Woodman - who could make his Barclays Premier League debut at Bournemouth on Saturday - is one of two goalkeepers in Aidy Boothroyd's squad.

Armstrong is currently on loan at Coventry, where he's scored 12 times this season.

Meanwhile, Magpies defender Michael Newberry has been named in the Northern Ireland under-19s squad for three European Championships qualifiers against Norway, Russia and Slovakia.
