Walker-born Mackenzie Heaney has ben named in the England under-17s squad for a double-header against Germany later this month

Mackenzie Heaney has been named in the England under-17s squad for a double-header against Germany later this month.

The Walker-born teenager is part of Steve Cooper's 20-man squad for the two games, which are both on home soil.

The first friendly fixture, on Wednesday, 18th November, takes place behind closed doors at St. George's Park but the second game, two days later, is live on BT Sport at Rotherham United's ASSEAL New York Stadium.

Heaney helped England top their UEFA European Under-17 Championships qualifying group in Portugal last month. The Young Lions hit a combined 13 goals against San Marino and Armenia before drawing 1-1 with Portugal.

Tickets for the game at Rotherham on Friday, 20th November are on sale now from Rotherham United, priced at £3 for adults and £1.50 for children and OAPs. Kick-off is at 7.30pm.

The England under-17s squad for the double-header against Germany is: Jared Thompson (Chelsea), Ryan Sandford (Millwall), Trevoh Chalobah (Chelsea), Japhet Tanganga (Tottenham Hotspur), Edward Francis (Manchester City), Tolaji Bola (Arsenal), Jaden Brown (Tottenham Hotspur), Jordan Williams (Huddersfield), Dujon Sterling (Chelsea), Marcus Agyei-Tabi (Arsenal), Callum Slattery (Southampton), Mason Mount (Chelsea), Andre Dozzell (Ipswich Town), Dennis Adeniran (Fulham), Reiss Nelson (Arsenal), Samuel Shashoua (Tottenham Hotspur), Martell Taylor-Crossdale (Chelsea), Niall Ennis (Wolverhampton Wanderers), Jonathan Leko (West Bromwich Albion), Mackenzie Heaney (Newcastle United).
