Roger East will referee Newcastle United's Barclays Premier League home fixture against Stoke City on Saturday (3pm kick-off).
It is the second time this season the Wiltshire-based official has taken charge of a Magpies' match, having been the man in the middle of September's home defeat by Watford.
On that disappointing afternoon at St. James' Park, East booked three players including United midfielder Jack Colback.
In total during the 2015/16 campaign, East has overseen nine fixtures across the Premier League, Championship, League One, League Two and the Capital One Cup, issuing 27 yellow cards and one red.
The 50-year-old has been on the National List since 2006, and was an assistant referee at the 2004 FA Cup final and 2006 FA Community Shield before stepping into the middle for the 2006/07 campaign.
East was in charge of the 2012 League One play-off final between Huddersfield and Sheffield United and in the 2012/13 season, oversaw his first Premier League match - a 2-2 draw between Swansea City and Sunderland.
He earned a permanent spot in the Select Group of Premier League officials from the start of 2013/14 campaign.
On Saturday at St. James' Park, East will be assisted by Richard West and Andy Garratt, with Andre Marriner the game's fourth official.
