Aleksandar Mitrovic has spoken of his pride at scoring his maiden Tyneside goal, and helping Newcastle United to a first Barclays Premier League victory of the season in the process.
The Serbian international striker fired home the Magpies' fourth goal of a 6-2 home rout of Norwich City on Sunday - a classy half-volley having taken Moussa Sissoko's lofted pass on his chest.
And Mitrovic revealed the sound of the St. James' Park crowd was a special moment in his fledgling career.
"It is always an amazing feeling to score a goal but even more so here at St. James' Park," the 21-year-old summer signing from Anderlecht told nufc.co.uk.
"I can't put it into words properly - you need to score goals to feel it. I have said before that goals are like a drug. If you score one, you want more and more, and that is how I feel now. I will keep working hard to score more goals.
"It has taken me a few games to do it but I am happy and proud to score and hear the noise from the crowd, celebrating my goal.
"I want to thank my teammates because they have helped me a lot since I came to the Club and they help me score goals.
"This is why I chose this league and this Club. Football is amazing here and there are so many goals.
"It is really interesting to watch and to play in, and I love being here at Newcastle."
As well as Mitrovic, fellow Magpies Ayoze Perez and Georginio Wijnaldum - four times - were also on target as the Canaries were blown away.
United had previously shown glimpses of their potential but on Sunday it all came together and lifted Steve McClaren's side off the foot of the table.
"It was a big win for us," continued Mitrovic.
"Finally, we showed we know how to play good football for 90 minutes. We played like a real team.
"I always believed we had more quality than we had shown so far this season.
"We always had confidence - we never lost it, even when we were losing games. We always believed in ourselves because we know we are a good team and that we can make something special.
"But this is nothing - it's only our first win, and we will continue to work hard every day and every week to get more wins."
