Pick Up A Retro Programme On Sunday

The eighth issue of United's retro matchday programme will be available to purchase on Sunday
By Anthony Marshall - Newcastle United Managing Editor
The Newcastle United matchday programme has gone retro for the 2015/16 campaign, and the eighth issue will be on sale for Sunday's Barclays Premier League fixture against Norwich City (4pm kick-off).
Each week, a previous issue from the 1960s, 70s, 80s or 90s will be given a modern twist, with this weekend's award-winning publication taking its inspiration from September 1962 and a Football League Division Two clash between United and the Canaries.
The original cover sees an illustration of St. James' Park from that era along with a cartoon Magpie advertsing the price. And so Saturday's 100-page issue has been updated to feature a modern image of the Tyneside stadium.
Inside, we speak exclusively to Republic of Ireland international goalkeeper Rob Elliot about staking his claim for a place in the United line-up, turning the season around, and Norwich's creator-in-chief.
Cheick Tiote dishes the dressing room dirt in Teammates, while we also hear from captain Fabricio Coloccini and head coach Steve McClaren.
That is a just a snippet of what is inside this week's issue, with an extensive look at Sunday's opponents Norwich and four pages of quizzes and puzzles for our younger fans also included.
The official matchday programme will be available to purchase around St. James' Park and in the club store at the stadium on Sunday, priced at just £3 for 100 pages.
For supporters who are unable to make it to Tyneside for matchday, a digital version of the programme is available to download on all platforms, featuring everything included in the physical publication.
It can be purchased on a one-off basis for £2.99 per edition, or if you chose to subscribe for the whole season then there is a huge 40 per cent saving to be made, with a 12 month subscription costing just £34.99.
