Woolston Is England's Number One

Newcastle's Paul Woolston has been given the number one shirt ahead of England's FIFA Under-17s World Cup campaign

Newcastle goalkeeper Paul Woolston has been named as England's number one for the FIFA Under-17s World Cup in Chile.

Head coach Neil Dewsnip revealed his squad numbers for the tournament on Tuesday, with Woolston given the number one shirt.

England kick-off their campaign in Chile against Guinea on Saturday, then take on Brazil three days later. Their final group game is against South Korea on Friday, 23rd October.

Everton midfielder Tom Davies has been named captain, with Arsenal forward Chrissy Willock vice-captain.

The Young Lions arrived at their La Serena base on Monday and Woolston is one of three goalkeepers in the squad; Will Huffer of Leeds United and Alfie Whiteman of Tottenham Hotspur are the others.
