National Non-League Day

Written by Newcastle Utd

It's National Non-League Day on Saturday - and there are a host of games on across the North-East this weekend

By Dan King - Newcastle United Digital Editor

National Non-League Day will return for a sixth consecutive season on Saturday.

The day - partnered by Prostate Cancer UK - provides a platform for clubs to promote the importance of affordable, volunteer-led community football, and with no Premier League games this weekend, Newcastle fans are being encouraged to attend a grassroots match instead.

In the National League, Gateshead are at home to Cheltenham while EvoStik Premier Division side Blyth are at home to Sutton Coldfield (both 3pm).

This weekend also sees the third qualifying round of the Emirates FA Cup, including Whitley Bay's home tie against Chorley (also 3pm).

A full list of this weekend's fixtures in the Northern League can be found here while a full list of local non-leagues can be found here.
