Anthony Taylor will referee Newcastle's trip to West Ham in the Barclays Premier League on Monday

Anthony Taylor will take charge of Newcastle United's trip to West Ham United in the Barclays Premier League on Monday (8pm kick-off).
It is the first time the Manchester-based official has overseen a Magpies' match this season, although he was the man in the middle of three last term - a victory at Tottenham and a pair of home defeats against Sunderland and Manchester United.
In total during the 2015/16 campaign, Taylor has refereed four fixtures across the Barclays Premier League and Community Shield, handing out 15 yellow cards and one red.
The 36-year-old started refereeing in the Northern Premier League in 2002, and worked his way up through the divisions before being appointed to the Football League list at the start of the 2006/07 season.
His first Premier League appointment came in February 2010, when Fulham beat Portsmouth 1-0, and the whistler was promoted to the Select Group of Referees for the start of the following term.
Taylor became a FIFA listed referee in January 2013, making him eligible to officiate UEFA European and FIFA international competitive games and at the end of that season was fourth official for the FA Cup final.
He took charge of the 2015 Capital One Cup final between Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, and the 2015 Community Shield between Chelsea and Arsenal.
On Monday at the Boleyn Ground, Taylor will be assisted by John Brooks and Peter Kirkup, with Neil Swarbrick the game's fourth official.
