Haris Vuckic made his Wigan Athletic debut on Saturday, as the Latics produced a stunning fightback away at Chesterfield in League One.
Two down with just over 20 minutes remaining at the Proact Stadium, Wigan turned the game on its head by scoring three goals in the final nine minutes.
Slovenian international Vuckic was handed a starting spot by manager Gary Caldwell and played for an hour - his first competitive action of the season - before being withdrawn.
The result leaves Wigan ninth in League One and just four points behind table-topping Gillingham.
Elsewhere, teenage goalkeeper Brendan Pearson was an unused substitute as Gateshead suffered a 3-0 defeat at Bromley in the National League.
