Aleksandar Mitrovic will make his full Newcastle United debut as the Magpies travel to Manchester United in the Barclays Premier League (12.45pm kick-off).
The Serbian international striker was a summer arrival from Anderlecht, and has been a substitute for the opening two games of the 2015/16 campaign.
But 20-year-old Mitrovic has been handed a starting spot by head coach Steve McClaren, in one of three changes from last weekend's defeat at Swansea.
The others see centre-back Steven Taylor and Spanish forward Ayoze Perez come in, with Daryl Janmaat suspended, Moussa Sissoko missing out through injury and Papiss Cisse dropping down to the substitutes' bench.
United are expected to line up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with Dutch international goalkeeper Tim Krul behind a back four of Chancel Mbemba, Taylor, captain Fabricio Coloccini and Massadio Haidara.
Vurnon Anita and Jack Colback will anchor the visitors' midfield at Old Trafford, with a trio of Perez, Georginio Wijnaldum and Gabriel Obertan ahead of them.
And they will be tasked with supplying the ammunition for Mitrovic, who will be desperate to make an impression on his full bow.
Joining Cisse among the replacements there is a return for Siem de Jong, who missed the trip to Swansea with a shin injury. There are also places for new signing Florian Thauvin, Rolando Aarons, Cheick Tiote, Mike Williamson and Karl Darlow.
