The draw for the second round of the Capital One Cup will be made on Thursday evening.
Newcastle United will enter the competition at this stage and will be hoping to improve on last season's run to the quarter-finals, where they lost to eventual runners-up Tottenham.
The draw will take place live on Sky Sports following the televised fixture between Doncaster Rovers and Leeds United.
Several Championship sides, including Blackburn, Nottingham Forest and Burnley, have already been knocked out of the cup after a night of upsets on Tuesday.
There are three more first round fixtures on Wednesday as Crewe host Preston, Oldham entertain Middlesbrough and Portsmouth take on Derby, before Thursday's tie at Doncaster.
Second round ties will take place in the week commencing 24th August.
