Newcastle's Mackenzie Heaney has been named in the England under-17s squad for the St. George's Park Tournament later this month.

The teenager from Walker, who won the golden boot at the Milk Cup in Northern Ireland last month, has previously represented the Young Lions at under-16 level but this is his first under-17 call-up.

New head coach Steve Cooper has named a 19-man squad for the competition, which see the Young Lions play against Italy, Portugal and Turkey ahead of the First Qualifying Round of the UEFA European Championships in October.

The squad will be based at St. George's Park and will play three games in five days, starting with Italy at AFC Telford United's Bucks Head Stadium on Wednesday, 26th August.

They then face Turkey at Walsall's Banks's Stadium two days later before the final match with Portugal takes place at Burton Albion's Pirelli Stadium on Sunday, 30th August.

Tickets for all three England games cost £3 for adults and £1.50 for concessions from the hosting clubs. The non-England games take place at St. George's Park and are not open to the public.

The England under-17s squad is: Jared Thompson (Chelsea), Nicholas Hayes (Ipswich Town), Jordan Williams (Huddersfield Town), Edward Francis (Manchester City), Trevoh Chalobah (Chelsea), Vashon Neufille (West Ham United), Diego Lattie (Manchester City), Jaden Brown (Tottenham Hotspur), Charlie Gilmour (Arsenal), Callum Slattery (Southampton), Andre Dozzell (Ipswich Town), Adam Lewis (Liverpool), Sadou Diallo (Manchester City), Jonathan Leko (West Bromwich Albion), Niall Ennis (Wolverhampton Wanders), Mackenzie Heaney (Newcastle United), Martell Taylor-Crossdale (Chelsea), Samuel Shashoua (Tottenham Hotspur), Keanan Bennetts (Tottenham Hotspur).
