- Mbemba was born in Kinshasa, the capital city of the Democratic Republic of Congo, on 8th August, 1994.
- He has eight siblings and sporting prowess obviously runs in the family as his mother, Antoinette, reprsented DR Congo at basketball.
- Mbemba turned out for the youth teams of ES La Grace, Mputu and MK Etancheite in his homeland before securing a switch to Belgian giants Anderlecht in 2011..
- After time in Anderlecht's reserve side, the defender made his senior debut on the opening day of the 2013/14 campaign, as the purple-and-whites suffered a 3-2 defeat against Lokeren.
- A first goal arrived in just his 11th league appearance, and Mbemba quickly established himself as a regular, helping Anderlecht claim the Belgian Pro League title at the end of that season.
- His second campaign saw Anderlecht finish third in the league, as well as runners-up in the Belgian Cup.
- Mbemba also started all six of their 2014/15 Champions League group games, and scored a brace against Galatasaray last November.
- Since 2012, Mbemba has been a senior international for DR Congo, and has 17 caps to date for his nation.
