Written by Newcastle Utd

Rolando Aarons helped England's under-20s to victory over Ivory Coast in their second game of the Toulon Tournament.

The 19-year-old winger was an unused substitute as the Young Lions drew 3-3 with Morocco on Thursday, and started on the bench again on Saturday.

But he was introduced in the 72nd minute in place of Sunderland's Duncan Watmore, with Aidy Boothroyd's side leading 2-0 courtesy of goals from Arsenal's Chuba Akpom and Aston Villa's Callum Robinson.

Aarons wore the number 11 shirt and helped England record an important victory despite the Elephants pulling a late goal back through substitute Manfousse Kone.

It was Aarons' second cap for England. He scored on his international debut against Romania last September.

England's next game in the tournament is against Mexico on Wednesday, 3rd June.
