Rangers put themselves in a strong position to reach the Scottish Premiership play-off final after a 2-0 win over Hibernian on Wednesday night.
The Gers finished one place behind the Hibees in the league during the regular season but were the better team on the night at Ibrox as Haris Vuckic once again sparkled for Stuart McCall's men.
He was involved in the first goal as he combined with Richard Foster to tee up Nicky Clark just before half time.
And, after Vuckic had been denied a goal of his own by a fine Mark Oxley save, Kenny Miller doubled the hosts' advantage in the second half in front of a 41,236 crowd.
Shane Ferguson was an unused substitute for Rangers.
The second leg will take place at Easter Road on Saturday, with the overall winners facing Motherwell in another two-legged game for a place in the Scottish Premier League next season.
