John Carver insists it is about time United produce on the pitch, ahead of Saturday's visit of Swansea

John Carver admits talk is cheap around St. James' Park at the moment, and insists it is about time his Newcastle United side produce on the pitch instead.
After six successive Barclays Premier League defeats, the Magpies will go on the hunt for three points on Saturday as they welcome Swansea City to Tyneside.
With a raft of injuries and suspensions not helping his cause, Carver has struggled for victories since being appointed as head coach until the end of the season, but the 50-year-old says remains undeterred nonetheless.
"I'm not a defeatist and I'm not going to write myself off," Carver explained.
"A lot of people might but they are entitled to their opinion.
"I see this as a bad time at the moment and so I can't wait for a good time where I can really enjoy myself in this job.
"I have had everything go against me and I understand that, but when you've got faith in what you can do then nothing phases you.
"It's been very hard. It's been hard to pick myself up after the run of games we've had, but if I didn't do that then it's a waste of time me sitting here.
"If I was going to give up on it and I didn't think I could manage then I would walk away right now.
"It's just important for everybody that we win a game of football. It could just lift that bit of gloom that's hanging over the city at the moment.
"If we start winning football matches it's going to give everyone a huge lift. Talk is cheap now and actions speak louder than words.
"The time for talking about what we are going to do is over, we now have to go and produce the goods on the pitch."
