Haris Vuckic made it eight goals from just 11 starts as Rangers edged closer to securing the runners-up spot in the Scottish Championship.
The Slovenian schemer bagged a screamer early in the second half for the Gers, who triumphed 3-1 away at seventh-placed Dumbarton on Saturday.
Dumbarton took the lead with just two minutes on the clock thanks to Mark Wilson's far post volley, only for Rangers to level soon after through Ryan Hardie.
The equaliser was made by on-loan Magpie Vuckic, who fed Hardie, with the striker finding the back of the net at the second attempt.
Hardie doubled his - and the visitors' - tally just three minutes into the second period, acrobatically flicking a left-wing cross over his own head and into the corner, shortly before Vuckic stepped up to the plate with the goal of the game.
Cutting in off the right flank, the 22-year-old worked the ball onto his favoured left-foot before unleashing a thunderous strike that flew into the top corner and put the result beyond any doubt.
Vuckic played 85 minutes of the contest, with the result leaving Rangers second in the table with just two games remaining.
Back on home soil, goalkeeper Karl Darlow and centre-back Jamaal Lascelles helped Nottingham Forest come from behind three times to secure a 3-3 draw away at Blackburn Rovers in the Championship.
The pair of loanees were both handed starts at Ewood Park for Dougie Freedman's Reds, but mix-up with each other allowed Rudy Gestede to score the first of his hat-trick after just three minutes.
Darlow and Lascelles made up for that moment, however, as part of a spirited Forest display which leaves them sitting 11th in the second tier.
Finally, in France, Sylvain Marveaux was a second-half substitute as Guingamp recorded a 1-1 home draw with Evian.
The playmaker came on for the final 14 minutes of the Ligue 1 clash but was unable to inspire his side to victory as they had to settle for a share of the spoils.
