Head coach John Carver insists Rolando Aarons will not miss the rest of the season, despite reports to the contrary earlier this week.
The teenage winger burst onto the first team scene at the start of the 2014/15 campaign but has not featured since last November following a series of hamstring complaints.
However, he has been back training with the squad for the last few weeks and, despite a minor recent scare, could still pull on the famous black and white shirt before the end of May.
"Rolando will not be out until the end of the season," Carver said.
"He had a tough physical session a couple of weeks ago and reacted to it. We put him through a scan but found nothing.
"We are going to refer him to another specialist for a third opinion to see what happens when those results come back.
"The good news was he hasn't torn or pulled his hamstring again so we're sending him to the specialist to see if there's anything else that may be wrong."
A return to first team action could also be on the horizon for Siem de Jong, after he came through 45 minutes of an under-21 fixture unscathed.
However, Carver will not put the Dutch international schemer under any pressure and will leave the decision up to the player himself, who has recovered from a collapsed lung.
"We will assess him and see if he can get on the bench for Spurs. But I'm not going to push that situation," said the head coach.
"I trust Siem, he's a top player, and if he says he's ready great - if not we'll delay it another week."
