John Carver has made three changes to his Newcastle United starting line-up for Monday's Barclays Premier League fixture at Liverpool (8pm kick-off).
Winger Gabriel Obertan abnd midfield duo Mehdi Abeid and Vurnon Anita return to the Magpies side as they bid to put an end to a run of four straight defeats, including a disappointing Tyne-Wear derby loss last time out.
Making way are Yoan Gouffran, Sammy Ameobi and Jonas Gutierrez, who are all named among the substitutes.
United are expected to line-up in a 4-3-3 formation, with goalkeeper Tim Krul behind a back four of Ryan Taylor, Daryl Janmaat, Mike Williamson and Jack Colback.
Abeid and Anita should join stand-in captain Moussa Sissoko in the middle of the park at Anfield.
And in front of them, Obertan and Remy Cabella will take up roles on the flanks, either side of Spanish starlet Ayoze Perez.
Joining Gouffran, Ameobi and Gutierrez on the substitutes' bench there is a place for 19-year-old right-back Jamie Sterry.
It is a first involvement in the matchday squad for the Tyneside-born youngster, who has been a regular for the Magpies' under-21 side this term.
Emmanuel Riviere, Adam Armstrong and goalkeeper Rob Elliot make up the remainder of the bench.
