Sissoko Scoops Player Of The Month Prize

Written by Newcastle Utd

Midfielder Moussa Sissoko is the Newcastle United Wonga Player of the Month for November, as voted for by the fans

By Dan King - Newcastle United Digital Editor

Moussa Sissoko thanked his team-mates after being chosen by the Magpies' supporters as the Newcastle United Wonga Player of the Month for November.

The French ace started each of United's four Barclays Premier League games last month, with his outstanding displays capped by scoring the winning goal against Queens Park Rangers.

Even a red card in the final match of the month at West Ham couldn't prevent the 25-year-old from claiming the prize ahead of Ayoze Perez and Paul Dummett.

And Sissoko told nufcTV: "I try to work hard every day and when you get a trophy like this, you are very happy.

"I say thank you to everybody - and my team especially."

Supporter Amy Edmunds won the chance to present the award to Sissoko at the Newcastle United Training Centre. She also received a signed Wonga Player of the Month pennant.

Wonga will be running competitions every month throughout the season, so check out the Wonga Football fan hub regularly for your opportunity to win some great prizes.

And there's still time to win tickets to the Sunderland game this weekend by visiting www.wongafootball.com/nufc.
