Alan Pardew has made four changes to his Newcastle United starting line-up for Saturday's Barclays Premier League fixture at Arsenal (5.30pm kick-off).

Goalkeeper Jak Alnwick - who made his Magpies debut as a half-time substitute seven days ago - starts for United for the first time, while there are also recalls for centre-back Mike Williamson, forward Yoan Gouffran and leading scorer Papiss Cisse.

The quartet replace injured goalkeeper Rob Elliot, suspended pair Steven Taylor and Moussa Sissoko, and Remy Cabella - who drops down to the substitutes' bench at the Emirates Stadium.

United are expected to start in a 4-2-3-1 formation with Alnwick behind a back four of Daryl Janmaat, Williamson, captain Fabricio Coloccini and Paul Dummett.

Cheick Tiote and Jack Colback will anchor the midfield, with the trio of Gouffran, Ayoze Perez and Sammy Ameobi just ahead of them.

And Cisse will lead the line, hoping to add to his tally of seven goals for the campaign.

On the substitutes' bench there is a place for 17-year-old goalkeeper Freddie Woodman - son of goalkeeping coach Andy - and he is joined by fellow 17-year-old Adam Armstrong.

Also among the replacements are Emmanuel Riviere, Remy Cabella, Vurnon Anita, Haris Vuckic and Massadio Haidara.
