Karl Darlow recorded his ninth clean sheet of the season as Nottingham Forest eased to a 3-0 win at Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.
The on-loan goalkeeper was afforded a relatively quiet afternoon at Molineux as second-half goals from Britt Assombalonga, Matty Fryatt and Henri Lansbury sealed a thumping win for Stuart Pearce's side.
Centre-half Jamaal Lascelles, meanwhile, also played the full 90 minutes for the Championship promotion chasers, picking up a yellow card in his successful bid to keep out Kenny Jackett's newly-promoted Wolves.
Young Magpies striker Adam Campbell made his Hartlepool United debut in the League Two strugglers' 3-1 home defeat to York City this weekend.
The 19-year-old, who had spells on loan at Carlisle United and St. Mirren last season, as well as a stint at Fleetwood Town earlier this campaign, joined Paul Murray's Football League basement dwellers on a month's loan this week and came off the bench to replace Jordan Richards after 67 minutes.
But Campbell was unable to help Pools find a way back into the game.
Hatem Ben Arfa was withdrawn after 57 minutes of Hull City's Barclays Premier League home defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
With Gaston Ramirez having been shown a red card, Tigers boss Steve Bruce opted to replace the former Marseille man with David Meyler as City looked to hold on to their one-goal lead, which had been given to them by the former Spurs midfielder Jake Livermore.
However, Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen turned the game on its head to give the visitors a 2-1 triumph.
In the Conference, Tom Heardman was handed his first Gateshead start as they made the long trip to Torquay United and came home with an impressive 2-2 draw.
Heardman was withdrawn after 51 minutes of the contest, with the Gulls leading 1-0. However, a thrilling end saw three goals and a sending off in the final four minutes.
In the Northern League Premier Division, young forward Jonathyn Quinn was an unused substitute for Blyth Spartans as Tom Wade's men saw off the challenge of King's Lynn with a 3-2 victory at Croft Park.
Over in France, winger Sylvain Marveaux featured for Guingamp as they slipped to a 1-0 home defeat at the hands of Rennes on Saturday night.
French winger Marveaux is on a season-long loan at the Ligue 1 club and, despite lasting the duration and playing in a more advanced role, couldn't help his side snatch a point at the Stade du Roudourou.
And finally, in Serie A, Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa wasn't part of the AS Roma squad who beat Atalanta 2-1 on Saturday as the 25-year-old continues to recover from a thigh injury.
