Adam Campbell has joined North East neighbours Hartlepool United on a month-long youth loan.
The forward, who spent a month with Fleetwood Town earlier in the season, will link up with Willie Donachie, Newcastle's former Reserve Team Manager, who is now Hartlepool's assistant manager.
England under-19 international Campbell's loan spell will run until 20th December and will take in Pools' League Two games against York City, Wycombe Wanderers, Burton Albion and Oxford United as well as their FA Cup third round clash against Blyth Spartans.
And he has already scored once at Victoria Park this season - he netted there for United's under-21s against Middlesbrough last month in his first match since undergoing a hernia operation.
North Shields-born Campbell, who had spells with Carlisle and St. Mirren last term, remains the youngest player to represent Newcastle in European competition after making his debut against Atromitos in August 2012 at the age of 17 years and 236 days.
In all competitions, he has made five senior appearances for the Magpies - all as a substitute - and turns 20 on 1st January.
Hartlepool are currently bottom of the Football League.
