Newcastle United Under-21s eased into the semi-finals of the Northumberland FA Senior Cup with a 7-0 win over Team Northumbria.
Substitute Sean Longstaff grabbed a hat-trick for the Magpies, while Alex Gilliead, Greg Olley, Dan Ward and Stefan Broccoli were also on target for the rampant Magpies, as they booked their last four spot.
United made the perfect start at Whitley Park when, with just seven minutes on the clock, Gilliead broke the deadlock, cutting in off the left flank and driving a low, right-foot shot past Andrew Jennison in the visitors' goal.
Liam Gibson saw a long-range strike tipped wide by Jennison but just seconds later the lead was doubled, when Olley found the bottom corner from 20 yards.
Newcastle were dealt a blow in the 21st minute when the influential Callum Roberts hobbled off, but his replacement Longstaff took just two minutes - and two touches - to make an instant impact.
Racing on to an underhit back-pass, the 17-year-old Academy midfielder rounded Jennison to set himself up for the simplest of finishes.
Despite the scoreline, Team Northumbria refused to lie down and with half-time approaching spurned two clear goalscoring opportunities.
First, Joel Bradley latched on to a weak Macaulay Gillesphey clearance but curled his first-time effort over the top, before centre-back Ben Murdock headed a deep corner narrowly wide at the far post.
And the hosts made them pay at the start of the second period with two goals in the opening three minutes of the half.
Longstaff bagged his second of the night, reacting quickest to rifle home a loose ball after Haris Vuckic's tricky run was halted by a tackle, and he was joined on the scoresheet by fellow substitute Dan Ward - a first half replacement for Lubo Satka.
Ward stole in to meet Gilliead's left-wing delivery and apply a straightforward, close-range finish.
There was still plenty of time for more goals and Longstaff completed his hat-trick in the 68th minute, putting the crucial touch on Gibson's cross.
Ward and Gilliead could have both added to the Magpies' tally but it was left to replacement Broccoli to net the seventh - and final - goal of the evening, as the midfielder stole into the area and stabbed into the far corner.
