Remembrance Issue Of Matchday Programme

Saturday's matchday programme is a special issue to mark 100 years since the outbreak of World War One

Saturday's matchday programme is a special commemorative Remembrance issue to mark 100 years since the outbreak of World War One.

More than 10 players and officials with links to Newcastle United served in the Great War, with 15 of those falling in battle.

And as well as a special front cover which illustrates a number of those figures along with a giant poppy, inside Saturday's edition we pay tribute to those heroes with stories about some well-known and not-so-well-known Magpies military men.

As ever, the 100-page publication is packed with exclusive articles and features, making it an essential matchday read at just £3.

We chat to homegrown forward Sammy Ameobi, who set two Premier League records last weekend at Tottenham Hotspur, while Yoan Gouffran is the star of the popular feature 'My first, last and everything'

You can also hear from captain Fabricio Coloccini and manager Alan Pardew, and that is just a snippet of what's inside, with an extensive look at Saturday's opponents Liverpool and quizzes and puzzles for our younger fans, also included.

The official matchday programme will be available to purchase around St. James' Park and in the club store at the stadium on Saturday, priced at just £3 for 100 pages.

For supporters who are unable to make it to Tyneside for matchday, a digital version of the programme is available to download on all platforms, featuring everything included in the physical publication.

It can be purchased on a one-off basis for £2.99 per edition, or if you chose to subscribe for the whole season then there is a huge 40 per cent saving to be made, with a full 2014/15 subscription costing just £34.99.

Each issue is available 24 hours before kick-off on a matchday, so for example, this weekend's Liverpool programme can be downloaded now.
