Jonathyn Quinn's first goal for Blyth earned the Spartans a point at Curzon Ashton on Monday night.
The teenager came from the bench in the 68th minute at the Tameside Stadium and, having already seen one effort saved, he struck with eight minutes remaining as the game finished 1-1.
It appeared as though Quinn was attempting a cross but it beat Hakan Burton in the Curzon goal as Blyth made it six games unbeaten in all competitions.
And the result was all the more impressive coming as it did just over 48 hours after Saturday's FA Cup third qualifying round win over Mickleover Sports.
Quinn had been an unused substitute on that occasion on what was a quiet weekend for United's loan stars.
The international break meant no fixture for Karl Darlow and Jamaal Lascelles' Nottingham Forest - although Lascelles was on England under-21 duty - Hatem Ben Arfa's Hull City, Mapoua Yanga-Mbiwa's Roma or Sylvain Marveaux's Guingamp.
Freddie Woodman was away with England under-19s so missed Hartlepool's win at Exeter while Remie Streete was an unused substitute for Port Vale as they beat Yeovil 4-1 on Saturday.
