Loan Watch: Darlow's In Seventh Heaven

Karl Darlow kept his seventh clean sheet of the season as Nottingham Forest drew a blank at home to Brighton

Karl Darlow kept his seventh clean sheet of the season as Nottingham Forest drew a blank at home to Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday in the Championship.

The goalkeeper, who arrived from Forest in the summer before being loaned straight back, was in fine form yet again to keep the Seagulls at bay, although the result saw the Reds slip off top spot.

Defender Jamaal Lascelles, who has been in and out of the Forest side so far this term, was an unused substitute at the City Ground.

Further down the Football League pyramid in League Two, young custodian Freddie Woodman was again an unused substitute as struggling Hartlepool United played out a goalless draw at home to Portsmouth.

The England Under-18 keeper joined Colin Cooper's men on a month's loan and has provided back-up for regular number one Scott Flinders.

In the Barclays Premier League, Hatem Ben Arfa came off the bench in Hull City's 4-2 defeat to Manchester City at the KC Stadium.

Frenchman Ben Arfa, who is yet to start a league game for the Tigers, played the final 17 minutes but was unable to help Steve Bruce's side find an equaliser before another substitute, Frank Lampard, secured the points for the champions late on.

In Italy, Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa played the full 90 minutes as AS Roma continued their fine start to the season with a 2-0 win over Verona in Serie A.

The French defender, who is on loan at the Stadio Olimpico until the end of the season, slotted in at centre-half for Rudi Garcia's side and helped them to a shut-out, as goals from Alessandro Florenzi and a spectacular strike from Mattia Destro sealed the win.

Finally, in France, 28-year-old Sylvain Marveaux, who is with Ligue 1 side Guingamp until the end of the 2014/15 campaign, came on as a 60th-minute substitute in place of Sambou Yatabare as they went down 2-1 at Montpellier.
