Teenage forward Adam Armstrong will make his full Newcastle United debut as the Magpies travel to Crystal Palace in the third round of the Capital One Cup on Wednesday night (8pm kick-off).
The 17-year-old Academy graduate has come off the bench four times for the first team since making his bow in March - all last term - but starts a competitive fixture for the first time at Selhurst Park.
Armstrong's inclusion is one of six changes to the United line-up from Saturday's 2-2 draw with Hull City.
Also coming in to the side from the off are goalkeeper Rob Elliot, centre-back Steven Taylor and midfielders Mehdi Abeid, Gabriel Obertan and Sammy Ameobi.
They replace Remy Cabella, Moussa Sissoko, Cheick Tiote, Mike Williamson, Tim Krul and Yoan Gouffran - with the latter two sidelined by sickness.
Newcastle are expected to start in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with Republic of Ireland international stopper Elliot behind a back four of Daryl Janmaat, Taylor, captain Fabricio Coloccini and Paul Dummett.
Abeid will anchor the visitors' midfield alongside Jack Colback, with Obertan, Armstrong and Ameobi just ahead of them.
And they will be tasked with creating chances for summer signing and former Monaco front man, Emmanuel Riviere.
On the substitutes' bench there is no place for the weekend's two-goal hero Papiss Cisse, who misses out through illness, but striker Facundo Ferreyra returns following a back injury.
And the Argentine loanee is joined by Cabella, Sissoko, Ayoze Perez, Vurnon Anita, Massadio Haidara and Jak Alnwick.
Palace boss Neil Warnock has completely shuffled his pack for the cup tie, making the full 11 changes from Sunday's victory at Everton.
