Magpies goalkeeper Paul Woolston made his England under-17s debut in Wednesday's FA International Tournament match against the Czech Republic.
But he was denied a clean sheet by Jiri Miker's late goal at Kidderminster's Aggborough Stadium.
Woolston - who only turned 16 earlier this month - started for John Peacock's side and made an early save from Miker before Kaylen Hinds gave the Young Lions a 34th-minute lead.
In the second half, Woolston was in action again as he kept out Daniel Kostl's close-range header but nine minutes from time he was helpless to prevent Miker from levelling.
England's next game in the tournament is against Portugal in Chesterfield on Friday.
On Tuesday, Woolston's fellow United keeper Freddie Woodman was called up for the first time by England under-18s for their match with Holland next month.
