Aarons: 'It Won't Be A One-Off'

Teenager Rolando Aarons told nufc.co.uk his United debut won't be his last Premier League appearance

Eighteen-year-old Rolando Aarons was handed his Barclays Premier League debut in Sunday's defeat to Manchester City and, as he told nufc.co.uk, he intends to keep his foot firmly on the gas.
The former Bristol City flier, who only joined United in 2012, entered the fray as a 74th-minute substitute for Yoan Gouffran in the 2-0 reverse to the champions.
With some of Aarons' family watching proudly in the stands, he immediately pledged to ensure that the memorable occasion wouldn't prove to be a one-off.
"It was unbelievable - it's the best thing I've done in my life so far and I hope it's not the last," said the fleet-footed winger.
"I'm going to make sure it's not. Ever since I came to this club, that's what I've really wanted to do.
"Without being rude, I didn't come here to be a reserve player, I came to play for the first team. Now that I'm doing that I'm grateful and happy, but I've not really done much yet so I'm going to keep pushing and try my best.
"My cousins were here, but my mum couldn't make the five-hour journey from down south which is a shame. She watched it on television though."
After a number of promising showings in pre-season - most notably a goalscoring outing against Shalke earlier this month - Kingston-born Aarons was given a rousing reception when he took to the St. James' Park field for the first time in competitive action.
The youngster said the deafening roar which greeted his entrance provided a welcome confidence injection.
"It's crazy. I came on and I went from being nervous to being confident just because of the fans cheering, so it was great," he explained.
"I wasn't really expecting it, it was beautiful, but the fans are always like that - they were top drawer."
