Adam Campbell has joined Sky Bet League One side Fleetwood Town on a month-long loan deal.

The 19-year old, who was born in North Shields, joins the Cod Army having spent pre-season with the Magpies' first team, making four substitute appearances against Sydney FC, Wellington Phoenix, Sheffield Wednesday and Schalke 04.

He has also scored twice for United's under-21 side this summer, netting against Southampton and Barnsley.

Campbell arrives at Highbury Stadium ahead of Saturday's League One opener against Crewe Alexandra as Fleetwood embark on a campaign in the third tier of English football for the first time in their history.
