Having netted his first senior goal for United, Adam Armstrong wants to find the back of the net against Wellington on Saturday

Adam Armstrong has a taste for goals - and now the teenage front man wants more, as Newcastle United prepare to face Wellington Phoenix on Saturday (4.30pm kick-off local time).
Seventeen-year-old Armstrong netted his first senior goal for the Magpies in Tuesday's 4-0 pre-season friendly victory over Sydney.
It was a typically cool finish from the former Walbottle Campus Technology College pupil, the like of which he regularly netted at Academy and under-21 level for United.
But the first team is a different kettle of fish, and having broken his duck, a delighted Armstrong is targeting Wellington as his next victims.
"It was unbelievable to score my first goal for the first team," the marksman told nufc.co.uk.
"I grew up dreaming of scoring for Newcastle - like every boy in the city - and to get it in Tuesday's match was amazing.
"It was such a buzz when the ball hit the back of the net and hopefully there will be more to come.
"I'd love to play and score again against Wellington on Saturday. Obviously it's up to the gaffer who he picks but if I do get on it would be nice to score another goal."
Given the huge impression he has made on Tyneside, it is easy to forget that Armstrong made his Newcastle debut just four months ago.
United's current tour of New Zealand is his first pre-season with the senior set-up and he is relishing every day's training - even if it is the toughest he has experienced.
"It's been a really good tour so far," explained Armstrong.
"It's a very different culture here so we've had to get used to that but the training has been great and we had a good result in our first match.
"The training has been tough but you expect that. You have to get your legs going again, so you know what it's going to be like.
"This is my first pre-season with the first team. The ones with the Academy were hard but this is at a different level and you have to adjust to it quickly.
"I'm training alongside quality players, some of who I grew up watching. That is amazing, and I am learning things from the other players every day. I want to become what they are, and hopefully even better."
