Mehdi Abeid helped Panathinaikos to lift the Greek Cup with a convincing victory over PAOK on Saturday.
The on-loan United midfielder played for 75 minutes as his side won 4-1 at the Olympic Stadium in Athens.
Now he will hope to help Panathinaikos - currently fourth in the Greek Super League - qualify for the Champions League.
Abeid wasn't the only of Newcastle's loan stars with cause for celebration this weekend as Romain Amalfitano scored his first goal of the season for Dijon on Friday evening.
He opened the scoring in a 5-1 Ligue 2 win over Nimes.
Also on Friday night, Conor Newton completed another 90 minutes for St. Mirren in a 1-1 draw with Partick Thistle but Adam Campbell was again left kicking his heels on the bench.
Haris Vuckic was also an unused substitute for Rotherham on Saturday but James Tavernier played 90 minutes as the Millers drew 2-2 with MK Dons.
Jonas Gutierrez remained in the dugout as Ryan Giggs made the perfect start to his managerial career with Manchester United, who beat Norwich 4-0 at Old Trafford.
Shane Ferguson wasn't involved as Birmingham slipped into the Championship relegation zone with a 3-1 defeat at home to Leeds, while Curtis Good missed Dundee United's game with Motherwell.
He has returned to Newcastle after an injury setback but still hopes to head back to Tannadice before the end of the season.
