Mehdi Abeid struck his seventh goal of the season on Sunday as Panathinaikos climbed to third in the Greek Super League.

The on-loan midfielder started against Levadiakos and scored the final goal in a 3-1 win before being substituted straight afterwards.

Another side in form is Rotherham, who won 4-3 at Gillingham on Saturday with James Tavernier - who was nominated for League One's player of the month award last week but lost out to Coventry's Callum Wilson - playing the whole game and Haris Vuckic an unused substitute.

In the Scottish Premier League, Conor Newton played for the opening 54 minutes as St. Mirren won 3-2 against Motherwell. Adam Campbell remained on the bench throughout.

Jonas Gutierrez appeared for the final nine minutes of Norwich's 1-0 defeat to West Bromwich Albion which proved to be Chris Hughton's final match in charge of the Canaries.

Shane Ferguson was an unused substitute as Birmingham beat Doncaster 3-1 while Romain Amalfitano played the whole game as Dijon lost 2-0 to Niort on Friday.
