A fundraising project which was started by a £5,000 donation from Newcastle United, has now raised nearly £70,000 for a local school in less than two years.
Rob Armstrong, managing director of Mtrec Recruitment and LA Taxis, was at St. James' Park on Saturday to help Magpies' financial director John Irving complete the half-time draw.
Since the start of the 2012/13 campaign, Armstrong has been fundraising for Hadrian School, in Benwell, which looks after local children with a wide range of needs.
And following United's starting donation of £5,000, Armstrong has now raised 14 times that amount through a wide range of initiatives and generous donations.
