Freddie Woodman and Adam Armstrong both started as England got their UEFA European Under-17 Championship Elite Round campaign off to a winning start against the Czech Republic on Wednesday afternoon.
The Young Lions took a 53rd minute lead through Dominic Solanke - who scored for Chelsea in their FA Youth Cup quarter-final victory at St. James' Park earlier this month - and that proved to be the only goal of the game in Stonky.
Woodman made an important first-half save from Ajax striker Vaclav Cerny, who had gone for goal from near the halfway line, before Armstrong saw a powerful strike pushed behind by the Czech keeper.
Both Newcastle youngsters played the whole match.
Then on Wednesday evening, Kyle Cameron helped Scotland to secure qualification for the finals in Malta.
Having beaten Bosnia-Herzegovina on Monday, the Tartan Army knew that victory over Belgium would see them top the group with a game to spare.
And Cameron - who played the full game at left-back - claimed two assists in a 3-1 victory at Greenock Morton's Cappielow.
