Peter Beardsley takes his Newcastle United under-21 side to one of his old clubs on Friday - and has urged them to make the most of an opportunity of a lifetime.
Anfield will be the venue as Liverpool's second-string entertain the Magpies with a 7pm kick-off.
One of football's most famous and iconic stadiums holds plenty of memories for Beardsley, United's Football Development Manager, who won two league titles and an FA Cup winners' medal in four years with the Reds.
And running out at the Kop will be a night United's youngsters will never forget, no matter what they go on to achieve in their careers. Gael Bigirimana is again the only player involved to boast Barclays Premier League experience.
Speaking to nufcTV, Beardsley said: "For me to go back to Anfield is always special and the fact that I'm going to go there as a coach with my team, as it were, is going to be really special.
"There are a lot of good people there, they're doing brilliantly, the first team, and they've got a chance of winning the league.
"When you look at it, this is why you're in this game - these moments don't come along very often.
"You've got to grasp them.
"We're lucky that the game's at Anfield, a special venue for anybody, and for our young players to go and experience that will be a good night for them."
Swiss defender Kevin Mbabu could make his first appearance of 2014 after recovering from injury.
Admission is £5 for adults, £3 for disabled tickets and £1 concessions.
The squad is: Rolando Aarons, Jak Alnwick, Gael Bigirimana, Alex Gilliead, Olivier Kemen, Kevin Mbabu, Ryan McKinnon, Greg Olley, Jonathyn Quinn, Michael Richardson, Callum Roberts, Lubo Satka, Liam Smith, Jamie Sterry, Remie Streete, Callum Williams, Freddie Woodman.
