Lee Probert will referee his third Newcastle match of the season when Crystal Palace come to St. James' Park on Saturday

Lee Probert will be the referee when Newcastle host Crystal Palace on Saturday (kick-off 3pm).
It will be the third time this season that the whistler from Wiltshire has taken charge of a Magpies match; he oversaw October's derby defeat at Sunderland and December's home loss to Arsenal.
So far during the 2013/14 campaign, the 41-year-old has refereed 25 games across the Premier League, Championship, League One, FA Cup and Europa League. That figure also includes the recent Australia v Equador friendly, which saw Newcastle's Curtis Good make his full international debut.
Probert has issued 49 yellow cards and six reds, as well as awarding six penalties.
He began refereeing in 1986 in the local Bristol leagues, before working his way up the ladder and into the Football League in 2003. Probert officially became a top-flight referee in the summer of 2007, but had already overseen his first Premier League fixture earlier that year as part of a trial.
On Saturday at St. James' Park, Probert will be assisted by Ron Ganfield and Mark Scholes, with Andy Madley the game's fourth official.
