Loic Remy

Newcastle United got back to winning ways on Sunday with a 1-0 victory over Aston Villa in the Barclays Premier League.

The Magpies left it late but Loic Remy's strike, two minutes into stoppage time, proved enough to earn three points at St. James' Park.

Earlier, Moussa Sissoko, Paul Dummett and Yoan Gouffran had all threatened, while Papiss Cisse and Remy both spurned glorious chances to break the deadlock.

It looked as though United were heading for a stalemate on Tyneside, but leading scorer Remy had other ideas, latching on to Luuk de Jong's deflected shot, turning Ron Vlaar inside out and firing home.
