Magpies goalkeeper Freddie Woodman is delighted to be back in the England under-17 fold after returning from injury.
And his Newcastle team-mate Adam Armstrong has also been called up for the Young Lions squad for the Algarve Tournament later this month.
Woodman only recently made his comeback after being sidelined since September but has been named by John Peacock in a 20-man party for the trip to Portugal, while Armstrong has been called up as replacement for Liverpool's Jordan Rossiter.
England will face Holland, Portugal and Germany in the annual tournament as they prepare for the European Championship Elite Round qualifiers in the Czech Republic in March.
They play the Netherlands at the Municipal Stadium in Lagos on Wednesday, 26th February, followed by Portugal two days later at the Algarve Stadium before they return to Lagos for their final match with Germany on Sunday, 2nd March.
And Woodman told nufc.co.uk: "It's nice to get a call up again. Being injured and seeing the likes of Arma going away was hard but now I'm back and ready to show them what I've got. I haven't lost it so I'm ready for that.
"It wasn't a nice time, to be honest - getting injured, missing a few England trips and watching the lads play, it was hurting me. But I just focused on getting myself back stronger and fitter than I was before and now I've come back I feel in good shape and I'm ready to go."
