Magpies teenager Mackenzie Heaney is hoping to help Scotland end England's period of domination in the Sky Sports Victory Shield on Friday night.
The 14-year-old Academy player, who hails from Walker but qualifies for the Tartan Army through his grandfather, made his international debut in a 2-2 draw with Wales earlier this month.
And Scotland know that if they avoid defeat against England in a televised 7.35pm kick-off at Raith Rovers' Stark's Park, they would lift the trophy.
The Young Lions have won the annual competition for the last 12 years and Scotland haven't held it outright since 1998.
